You won’t find a drastic and dramatic weight loss story here, but what you will find is the journey of a girl growing up in a disordered diet culture who really struggled to love and accept her body, enjoy and respect food (instead of using it emotionally), UNLEARN dieting practices and then learn to eat as healthy as she could both enjoy and sustain.
My journey includes numerous failed diets (going all the way back to Susan Powter), body shaming, emotional eating, punishing exercise, cyles of restricting & binging, and way too many years of unnecessary unhappiness, all in order to lose anywhere from 10-20lbs. I share the very real and raw feelings of wanting to change my body so badly, and being desperate to know what I could do in order to make it happen quickly.
Fast forward many years (too many years) – perhaps truthfully, right up to the end of my thirties. Then and only then, did it finally start sinking in that I did not need another diet or weight loss plan. I just needed to learn and practice some foundational skills, come up with a plan that worked for ME in my life, and continue to show up for myself. And you can do the same.
I can show you how and support you all the way through.
Hi! Welcome! I appreciate you stopping by. I'm Stacy...
People often refer to me as a nutrition nerd. Yep, I'm the one who brings veggies and hummus to potlucks (just to make sure there’s at least one healthy option available – and, you’re welcome). I am actually a foodie at heart, but I also truly love living a healthy lifestyle. My motto as a nutrition accountability coach is: Be healthy, but enjoy life – just choose wisely!
My passion for health and my genuine love of food led me to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. There, I completed a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition and graduated with honors. Since then, I have formed a nutrition practice focused on accountability.
Early on in my career, I recognized that many of my clients already had a pretty good idea of what they needed to eat, but what they actually needed support with was staying the course!
What happens when you get bored, distracted, have a bad run of eating, get complacent, or run out of patience? Healthy eating is an endurance sport, and as a holistic nutritionist and accountabilit coach, I help ladies understand what to eat AND stay motivated, all the while have some fun while doing so!
When I’m not coaching, eating, or trying out a new recipe, you’ll catch me hanging out with my daughter & husband, working out (I love barre and spin), or watching my favorite reality TV program, Below Deck!
I practice in my hometown of Calgary, AB but because most of my work is done online — I am available for consultations or coaching wherever it is that you happen to call home.
Click below to read a number of articles that I have written over the years for the ATE app. The ATE app is the photo-food-journaling app that I use with my clients. I know you'll find some useful information within.
If there's a particular topic that you'd be interested in learning about, let me know and I will create a post for you!
